Workout milestone
Deadlifted 2 plates on each side today, for a total of 225lbs. I remember back to the early days when one plate was my maximum; now it’s my warm-up. There’s only one direction to go from here, and that’s up! I realized that a bunch of us (Courtney, Collin, me, etc.) are hitting a plateau because we physically cannot grip that much weight in our hands. Not just for deadlifts, but...

Sporadic Thoughts: Motivation for Sport Teams →
likechipanddale: Prof. Salitsky did a lecture on Motivation for Sport Teams today in EXB 102 (Sports Psychology). I think it’s helpful and definitely applicable to any leadership positions. MOTIVATION DON’TS (short term but not for long term) Intimidation Threats Criticism Sarcasm Guilt Physical…

http://wongfuproductions.com/2011/10/new-web-series-home-is-where-the-hans-are-ft-ellen-wong-and-randall-park/ This is a 3 episode comedic web series about a guy named Derrick who realizes that his mom remarried a Chinese man. aplacetolovedogs: A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and set about nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the eyes of a little boy. “Mister,” he said, “I want…

TheArtofConfusion: I hate e-readers →
theartofconfusion: shotamon: But I’ll be completely and totally honest here. I…I…I… Read More I think having more people read is a good thing, even if they do so on an eReader. It’s more convenient, and people love technology, what can you do? I understand why people say that they love conventional… A book never runs out of batteries. Then again, a book also doesn’t have the...
